Every checklist on the site, in one place

Tick items off as you go and your progress is saved in this browser. Print any list and it comes out as a proper sheet — numbered rows, a status column and a summary — showing what you have already done.

Two kinds of list live here. Journey checklists follow a process in order and are part of a longer guide — the steps are the checklist. Standalone checklists are for a single occasion: a viewing, a sales-centre visit, an inspection, a lawyer's review.

Nothing you tick is sent anywhere. Progress is stored in this browser only, so it will not follow you to another device — print the sheet if you need it with you.

Follow a process

Journey checklists

Each one is the printable form of a full guide. Tick a step on the guide itself and it prints as Done here.

The buying process

Every stage of an Ottawa purchase in order, from working out what you can carry to owning the first year well.

First Time Home Buyer

The same purchase written for someone doing it for the first time — no equity behind you, conflicting program definitions, and the refunds nobody reminds you to claim.

The selling process

Preparing, pricing, listing and closing — with the costs that land on the seller stated up front.

The new build process

Buying from a builder, in the buyer's order: budget, communities, builders, the agreement, deposits, construction, PDI and the warranty year.

Rent & lease checklists

Three independent lists — tenant, landlord and commercial — because the three sides of a lease are not one journey.

Take it with you

Standalone checklists & question cards

Written for one occasion. Each has its own page, its own print sheet, and nothing else to read first.

The PDI checklist

Your one formal look at the finished home before possession. Every check Tarion expects on the form, in the order you walk the house.

Home viewing checklist

What to look at while you are still standing there — and the system ages to ask for, because each one carries a replacement cost.

Sales centre question card

The questions that keep a sales-centre visit informative. Verbal assurances are not terms — only what reaches the agreement counts.

Status certificate question card

For the conversation after your lawyer has read it, so you understand what you are buying into rather than just hearing "it's fine".

Buyer's agent question card

RECO recommends interviewing at least three. What you pay if the seller covers none of your agent's fee, how long the agreement ties you in, and whether they will tell you to walk away.

Listing agent question card

Ask every agent the same things before you sign: the comparables behind their price, the fee in full, and the term, holdover and cancellation clauses that outlast the listing.

Rental viewing question card

The fastest large decision on this site — no lawyer, no inspection, no cooling-off. What utilities really cost, what "included" includes, and whether the unit is even permitted.

Closing day checklist

Both sides of the same day, because they interlock. Funds, insurance, utilities, keys and meter readings — most of what goes wrong needed doing a week earlier.

Final walkthrough checklist

The resale counterpart to the PDI: is everything that was meant to stay still here, and is the property in the condition you agreed to buy?

Home inspection question card

Questions for the inspector you hire, not a list to inspect yourself — scope and exclusions, the age of each system, and which findings need a specialist to price.

How printing works

Every checklist here prints from the same sheet: a header carrying the date, one table per section, a numbered row with a checkbox for every item, and a summary of how much is done. Use the print button on the checklist itself — that is the control that produces the sheet.
